BUYER BEWARE!!! I called this seller to ask a couple questions about this Winchester 1894 Canadian Centennial 30-30 rifle he had for sale. I thought he was being honest about the condition of the rifle, confirming with him over the phone that the item was indeed mint and had never been fired (to his knowledge) as he had purchased it from an estate sale (as mentioned in his ad). We agreed on the asking price (1275), and I even sent him an extra $45 for shipping/handling and insurance since he had to ship it through Canada Post. I asked him to send me a receipt and a picture of the serial number (on Thursday) as well as a tracking number, which he then failed to do right away after he received payment in full, only to send a picture of the serial number after I had to ask for it again the next day (Friday) saying he didn't have time to ship it then. He did ship the rifle (Monday) and sent me a copy of tracking receipt with no insurance via text message. I texted him back and asked why he wouldn't insure the rifle, to which he answered "I there a problem?" So, I gave him a call to see what miscommunication might have occurred. I then called him right away and ask again why wasn't the rifle insured? His answer was that he had to wait outside the post office to be able to mail it, but then didn't have time to add insurance on the package when ask by the post office clerk, because other people were waiting in line??? I gave him a call and called him out on it, invalidating his last comment explaining that I had paid extra money upfront for him to insure the package and that he didn't. He then told me that I should be "Thankful" that there is a up to $100 default coverage by Canada Post (on a $1320 item that would've only costed $10 extra to insure, by the way), with a negative tone in his voice over the phone that resonated as cocky to me, if you will. I then asked him if he was actually having an attitude with me, or if there was something I was unclear with here, to which he reacted swiftly by cutting me off, saying "YOu Know WhaT!!?!!, I waited in line to ship your F*****G rifle... F*** Off, You Know What!?! F**K OFF!!! Then he hung up. 3 Days later the rifle arrived, yes. Only to find out that it is full of dings (like 100s of them), visible scratches on the receiver, flake of varnish gone the fore end wood, wear mark from the shooter's thumb on the left of the hammer's top receiver, saddle ring scratch for coming loose, etc... It was abundantly clear that this rifle has been more than fired, but used aplenty of times. It's in OK normal wear and tear condition for the year, but far from mint, far from a $1300 value, believe me. I dealt with a great number a people inside the firearms enthusiasts community in Alberta but have never seen any specimen like this guys before him. The only thing this seller could do to deserve a better rating than this would be to be honest with his clients first, refund me some of the money I sent him and stop taking advantage of fellow firearms enthusiasts. I had to write this review, since this type of behavior has no place in our community and must be exposed for what it is, when it happens. Thank you for reading, and good luck making deals on Town Post in the future. -Regards-

No matter how hard one tries, you simply can not please everyone. This guy is one of those types. It is supposed to take all kinds to make a world, some i could do without the pleasure. My ratings are way way better than his so you be the judge.
